No Reporting of Time, Tithing is OK, Now WT Teaches a "Rapture" - What's Next?
by Sea Breeze inthose who will be taken to heaven will first need to be “changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet.” therefore, while we do not use the term “rapture” here because of its wrong connotation, the remaining faithful anointed will be gathered together in an instant of time.
- the watchtower—study edition | july 2015. ok so they refuse to use the word "rapture".
kinda like they refuse to use the word church and clergy (except when it suits their purposes in court cases).

If 1914 gets tossed
by Leathercrop init feels like the change in reporting of hours becomes a fundamentally bigger deal every day.
the weight and importance placed on quantity was enormous, and now it's just gone.
even tho most witnesses really didn't keep "accurate" records so to speak hehehe.... this could very well be a precursor to even bigger doctrinal changes, like 1914. damn, would would happen then?.

Once you become PIMO, fully PIMO which means physically in mentally out you can pick-out such weasel words a mile away and in the dark.
About, apparently, maybe, evidently, perhaps, no doubt, assume....the list goes on.

Life in a spiritual (UN)-paradise
by Reasonfirst ina long, long time ago, when i was young, i became a 'special' pioneer.
it meant that i had to spend 150 hours a month, and i received a small allowance.
i was then assigned to a small country congregation, in western nsw (australia).

I remember those days years ago when young regular pioneers were put on the ‘pedestal’ as you mention. I was compared unfavorably to them. I remember hearing about those special dinners with whoever and those other perks they got.
LHG
''But, what about Today? These pioneers have reached their senior years.. For those of them who DIDN’T get married and/or somehow manage to save for retirement - what does it matter NOW if they were the congregation darling forty years ago???.. (It wouldn’t mean anything to me.).. I mean, can they track down any of these admirers and ‘spiritual’ friends and ask them for money?? Maybe some of those ‘great ladies’ 🙄 who hosted those dinners are still living?
These RPs might have been in their heyday back then and high on admiration from everybody, but that doesn’t mean anything now if somebody is struggling.''
Great observation. Look where it got them.
It got them a ticket to the poor house. And in retirement age totally unprepared.
But that was pre-internet age. You can't feel sorry for such naievity and ignorance any longer.

What If The Tower Fell?
by Big Dog inwhat if the truly unthinkable happened and the tower went down?
perhaps the irs swooped in and claimed fraud and padlocked the headquarters and kingdom hall doors?
or the gb took the money and ran to a nice non-extradition country to live out their years?

If the WT fell?
Im putting my money on that there will always be die hard JWs who will try to keep the "torch" going with splinter groups.
Remember,, there are die hards who have "sunk cost fallacy" who have decades vested into the Borg .
They have emotional ties to it,,and they are locked-in to the Borg, no matter what.

I can only remember when the RPs were put on a pedestal when the monthly requirement was 90 hrs.
All kinds of fringe benefits. Invites to special suppers with the CO when he was around. Other events too, like a wine and dine every few months. Trips to the lake for a camping night..
Im thinking around late 1980s early 90s, with the 90 hrs thing.
150 hrs!!
That must be a really long time ago.

Yes. They are bound to the hips of the lunacy of the 1914 fallacy.
No scripture anywhere to prove such.
Just the false 607BCE reasoning.
Without 1914 the 'faithful slave' doctrine collapses in on itself,, which they boast was chosen in 1919.
